Feasts of the Old Testament (5) - Firstfruits

4/1/21 - Today we look at the feast of Firstfruits, which takes place the the day after the sabbath following the Passover. Another feast with great significance and many tie ins with the work our Lord Jesus Christ accomplished for us. It is fitting to cover this feast so near to Easter, as it directly points to Christ's resurrection from the dead.

God gave many prophecies, types and shadows in the Old Testament of the future work His son Christ Jesus, many of which are hidden in the feasts and ceremonies given unto Israel. We pray the Lord Jesus be clearly seen as we study through seven of the Old Testament feasts. How marvelous it is to see our Savior pictured so clearly hundreds of years before His first advent!
